Hello, I’m Sara K. Van Norman, the founder of Van Norman Law. I’ve dedicated my career to representing tribes and people doing business with them.  I opened up the firm after a decade and a half of private practice in firms both large and small, where my clients have almost exclusively been tribes and their business partners. My purpose is to deliver smart, culturally-competent advice and superior legal work product to Indian Country.  At my last count, I’ve had the privilege of working for and with more than 50 federally recognized Indian tribes.

Today, my practice is focused on construction; regulatory, environmental, and business matters; and day-to-day governance. In addition, I am a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice.  I’m also on the American Arbitration Association Roster of Construction Neutrals and act as an arbitrator and mediator.
