The not-for-profit American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) is the go-to resource to find qualified neutrals—including (and maybe especially) for construction projects. This is just one reason that I’m delighted to announce that I’ve been invited to join the AAA National Roster of Arbitrators and Mediators. I will primarily be working on the Construction Panel. Admission requires at least 10 years of practice, 50% of which must be dedicated to construction law, along with training in alternative dispute resolution, demonstrated neutrality and judicial capacity, and professional distinction, not to mention peer recommendations. There are still relatively few women on the Roster, much less on the Construction Panel—and very few neutrals with an Indian country background. I thank the folks who have helped me achieve this, including my wonderful clients, and look forward to working with the AAA.
